This has been a much lighter posting week than usual. My apologies. Sometimes the family has to come first. Pia (proverbally) stumbled into the allergy equivalent of a hornets nest over the weekend. I flew home from New York a few days early because she was so sick. Like a migraine for days. And she is 6. So it’s been a very hard week. She is doing a little bit better each day and we got her some physical therapy to help loosen the headache and she got back to school yesterday finally. Boy guys, sometimes the food allergies feel like a land mine. Being a “hover mom” (do you know what I mean?) is literally my worst nightmare, but I feel like I am just going to need to be hyper-vigilante for a while. We gotta get my girl healthy and healed up so she can get back to being a kid.

Ok, on a much happier and lighter note I don’t think I have told you about our Summer plans yet! In a few weeks we are taking a family European Vacation! (Doesn’t that immediately make you think of the Griswolds!?) We are leaving Wilbur with some family friends at our house and taking off for three weeks. London, Greece and Italy are all on the agenda and I am so excited to take the kids there. Especially to Greece where they are going to meet all of Pete’s relatives and see where their Papu and Yia Yia come from. I can’t wait for the family time, the detachment from the every day grind and the fresh inspiration I hope to gain from such a change of scenery and life for a few weeks. I am going to shuffle down to AT&T and make sure I have international instagram capabilities! I will also keep my regular posting then, and will try to keep up with Saturday Stuff too ☺

This Tuesday I am going to launch something totally different than usual. Top Ten Tuesdays. Every Tuesday I am going to share a top ten list of favorite stuff. Everything from my favorite products to my fav restaurants from a city that I eat in often, etc. What do you think? Any special requests are great!

Kids yoga. Does anyone do yoga with their kids? I have fallen way off the wagon with my yoga practice. I feel like I love it, but it is hard to make the time I imagine that it takes. But I would like to get Pia into it, (Coco will do whatever Pia likes- so that will be a natural given) and I was wondering if any of you do this with your kids or could recommend a good tape we could do at home. Not like toddlers yoga, but a really easy beginners yoga tape? When I did it a lot I remember 10 year old kids who would come with their parents that could easily keep up with a 90 minute class- like it was much easier to them than the adults). I would LOVE to be able to do that with my kids.

I can’t help it. I just think this is funny. I just know that my mom and dads dog does this every time they leave the house- sorry mom!

ok, drool worthy recipes from around the web:

Firey Shrimp Lettuce Boats with an Avocado Mango Relish. I sould eat these verey day of the week.

Kale and Romano Ricotta Waffles with Cayenne Honey. Um. Amazing.

Chocolate Ombre Cake– Gluten Free. This is just beautiful.

Grilled Zaatar artichokes and Wild Rice Salad. I absolutely love artichokes on a crazy level, and never would have thought to pair them with zaatar, but now I’m going to try!

Frozen Rhubarb Daiquiris. Yes please. Right now.
