This retro salad is a great throw back to another era. Homemade Ranch dressing makes this a fresher, healthier (buttermilk is very low-fat) and tangier take on the typical store bought variety.
Iceberg Wedge Salad
-3 heads Iceberg Lettuce, cut into 6 wedges each
-Radishes for garnish
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
-1 large clove Garlic, finely minced
-1 cup buttermilk
-1/2 cup sour cream
-4Tbs freshly squeezed lime juice
-Freshly chopped chives and parsley
-Salt and pepper
1) Combine these all in a bowl or (even better), a mason jar.
2) Shake or mix vigorously until the sour cream has mixed its way into the dressing and thickened it up.
3) Adjust the flavor with salt and pepper. Refrigerate the dressing until you are ready to use it.
