Happy Cinco De Mayo!! I am still in Vegas as I write this, soaking up sun and booze simultaneously. We have been staying up so late (for us) but just can’t seem to break that 8:15 wakeup time (which by the way is the latest I have slept in years). So whether you go to bed at 2am or 4am it’s 8:15. Why?!! The plight of being a mom I guess. That I never will sleep in again…

Strawberry Habanero Margarita

And it is crazy down here. Between the Mayweather fight, Cinco De Mayo and the Kentucky Derby- um, holy people watching. I’ve never seen anything like it. Like, never.

Strawberry Habanero Margarita

But it sure has been fun, and I have a whole new arsenal of cocktail inspiration that I can’t wait to bring to you! But first, in honor of Cinco De Mayo, you get this gorgeous Strawberry Habanero Margarita.

Strawberry Habanero Margarita

A few weeks ago I was out with my sister and she ordered a martini style drink like this, and it was so good I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it- so I had to make this. I love that it has a spicy kick to it, blended with the sour lime juice and sweet strawberry. It’s kind of got the best of everything (including a cayenne laced salt rim!) Enjoy!
