Hey all you gin drinkers!! Your time has finally come. My first ever Gin drink. Ever.
I asked around on facebook and twitter and turns out quite a lot of you are gin drinkers. Quite a lot indeed! (However if you are NOT a drinker at all- which is great too! Just add more gingerale for a delicious non-alcholic drink)
I’ll be honest. I don’t dig gin. I had a bad experience in college and I have never gone back if you know what I mean. But I braved a sip and I had my fair share of taste testers that love gin come and did some happy taste testing the other day.
Fresh White Nectarines, ginger ale and fresh mint make this a refreshing and slightly sweet drink that is perfect for the summer. I also loooove the pale color that the white nectarines give it, but I am sure the orange would be beautiful too.
By the way- I chose nectarines since Trader Joes is doing a whole case for 4.99 and they are really good- If you need some go take a look.

Nectarines and ginger ale, what a great combo! I’ve been eyeing those Trader Joe’s nectarines. Have you noticed the bottled cherry juice they have? It’s the one in a tall narrow bottle, 100% cherry juice. It’s fantastic.
Oh good Vicki- now I am totally going to go back to trader Joes and buy the cherry juice again 🙂
I do like a bit of gin, the juniper flavour is lovely for me! These sound great!
I love nectarines!
Gin is definitely not a college drink! but this cocktail sounds pretty fabulous for the adult palate. 🙂 Now if only I can keep from eating all my nectarines before cocktail hour…
Gin is definitely for more sophisticated cocktail drinkers. I know I hated it in college but love, love, love it now! An aviation cocktail is one of my favorite gin drinks. My husband loves the ol’ standby – gin and tonic – but he ups the ante by using John’s Premium Tonic mix.
This drink sounds super refreshing. Can’t wait to try it.
Oh I can’t drink gin~how about some Vodka drinks?I do like ginger ale though:-)
I totally do gin. And I only drink ginger ale when I’m not feeling well. I believe both are now available.
So pretty (I do like gin) and a wonderful flavor combination, Heather!
