Hi Guys! I am writing this on a nice lazy EXTREMELY dark and rainy day here in Seattle. I am cuddled into my favorite armchair while Pete serial watches action movies that he has already seen 4 times.
I spent most of today making valentines with the little girls after having a bender at Paper Source (where by the way- I could spend more money at than Nordstroms. It’s dangerous). First we tried to see Paddington downtown, but the projector exploded. I mean, really?????!!! What are the odds of that. My kids were so disappointed they were crying so I promised them an arts and crafts bonanza. I have glitter stuck in my hair for it.
I had a nice week in New York with my hubby filled with WAY too much drinking and eating. He had a bunch of work there and I had a tiny bit and then was supposed to use the time to get tons of quiet work done in our hotel room. Sigh. I wasn’t as diligent as I should have been, so now I am going to have to buckle down tight this week. Isn’t that the worst? It isn’t even Sunday and I am already kind of getting anxiety about it.
Oh, ladies, in anticipation of next weekend, I am contemplating re-reading the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy. It has been years and I feel like I need a refresher before I go and see the movie (which I will obviously do, and most likely opening weekend). Anyone else doing the same? As if I have the time for it, but I still might not be able to help myself. Also- a note: thank God I have a kindle now. I start laughing everytime I remember that I read that book in paperback- like on the airplane and stuff! What was I thinking!??? No shame apparently….
In the mean time, whether you have read the books or think it’s ridiculous and have only seen the 12,678 trailers on tv, this will make you laugh.
Ok. Enough. Lets get to the food!!! Here are all the things I want to eat right this minute!!!
Chocolate Raspberry Truffles (allergen free)
Charred Carrots with Carrot Top Pesto
The Best Gluten Free Chocolate and Cherry Oatmeal Cookies
Kale Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken

Hahaha. I thought I was the only woman in America who would admit to reading the 50 shades trilogy and enjoying it. I have already reread it. Christian is even sexy as a Lego. I can’t believe anyone who actually read all three volumes would write the kind of things they do about the books. Anastasia was the strong one and the winner. It is not about abuse but about love. Really do enjoy your blog Heather.
Thank you so much Maralyn 🙂 Gotta love the Christian Gray Lego lol!!
