Happy New Year!!!!
This is my final post for the year and I had to make it a good one before we hit the ground running in 2016 with some serious clean up (If your pants feel tight, tune in tomorrow to take a look at what that is going to look like!)
Happy #ThirstyThursday and #HappyNewYears all ion one today with this simple but beautiful Kumquat Raspberry Rose Champagne Sparkler.
If you have a little Cointreau lying around in your liquor cabinet (left over from margarita making perhaps?) then you just need a splash and a bottle of cold rose champagne and some gorgeous seasonal fresh fruit.
When I saw these kumquats I KNEW I had to make something with them. They are sweet and sour and bitter and super aromatic which is a nice balance to the sweet raspberries. Then when I was at the store the other day I saw the most gorgeous bottles of sparkling rose and that was that.
These are like the easiest prettiest drinks ever and you will have to do practically nothing to get them ready. Enjoy!!!
- 1 cup sliced kumquats
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- splash of cointreau
- 1 bottle chilled rose champagne or sparkling wine
- Fill champagne flutes with sliced kumquats and fresh raspberries and then add a splash of cointreau and then fill with chilled sparkling rose.
