A NEW VIDEO just for you! Happy Thirsty THursday!
Hi Guys! I shared this unbelievably delicious punch years ago after they featured it in INSTYLE magazine! (which was quite a cool moment!), but I knew that it was due for a refresher in the photography department.
This punch has been the ultimate party trick at my holiday festivities for years and it never disappoints!
It is truly so delicious and is filled with sparkling prosecco, dark rum, cranberry and orange juices and is wonderfully and subtly spiced with cinnamon sticks and orange zest.
Happy Drinking!!!
These are old pictures of the Instyle article with the punch recipe and they also used my tip for individual servings of veggies and dip that you may remember from this event, but is great for Holiday parties.
I added dark rum, but you could add brandy, bourbon or Whiskey!
However you could also make this punch non-alcoholic by swapping out the prosecco for sparkling apple cider and then ditching the hard booze. I have done this before, and it is totally amazing, and a great option for kids and adults.
This Spiced cranberry prosecco punch would be wonderful for any holiday where there are people at the house all day. I especially like how it is ”serve yourself” so the hostess doesn’t need to worry about refilling glasses while simultaneously trying to bang out an entire dinner. It would be wonderful if you are having an open house over the Holiday season.
You just fill a punch bowl with ice and add the cinnamon sticks and cranberries
Then add the hard booze, cranberry juice, orange juice and the zest of two oranges
Next comes those oranges, thinly sliced (and if you want an extra pinch or two of cinnamon!)
Mix it all together!
Ladle into glasses!
- 1 bag party ice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 pinches of cinnamon
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- zest of two oranges
- 1 cup dark rum or bourbon
- 5 cups cranberry juice
- 3 cups orange juice
- 2 bottles prosecco
- 2 oranges or blood oranges, thinly sliced
- Combine everything in a punch bowl and mix well. Adjust if you need a little more cinnamon! Ladle into glasses.

In Style magazine?!! How awesome! Congrats! That’s such a fun idea to host a Thanksgiving morning get together and this punch looks great.
Also, I adore your wallpaper in the photo with the punch dispenser! So pretty!
thanks Maggie!
yeah the morning thing happened so we could see everyone we wanted on Thanksgiving even if we weren’t going to get to share the “big” meal with them 🙂
This is definitely going on my holiday drinks list! And congrats for the feature in In Style!
thanks so much Kathryn!
Beautiful – looks delish! Southerners love a good punch! “Taste some South with your mouth” …

I bought those at Linens n’ things years ago! but i recently saw them at met market!

mmmmm!! Like my family needs any excuse for an early AM happy hour. It looks like I won’t be staying awake at ALL this thanksgiving. 🙂
Congrats on being in InStyle – you are perfect for that mag!! 🙂
There’s nothing better than a Thanksgiving morning party. We’ve been hosting mimosas, monkey bread, and the Macy’s Day parade party for years!
oh! Monkey Bread is such a great idea!!
This looks so gorgeous AND tasty. Mmmm!
I love this idea!! My family will absolutely adore this, can’t wait to surprise them with it on Thanksgiving. And congrats on InStyle!
I love this idea!! I am hosting my first Thanksgiving brunch this year and am adding this to the menu!
i hate to sound daft, but what exactly is a bag of party ice?
Sorry! That is just what the big 5lb bag of ice you buy at 7-11 or the grocery store is called!
Congratulations! And what a great idea. Can’t wait to buy this issue
Think I’ll offer this for our annul ‘Friends’ Christmas party! Looks so pretty and we all love Proseco!
Made it for Thanksgiving and it was a hit! Will be making this more often…maybe with the two leftover bottles of Prosecco in my fridge 🙂
Congrats! I cut out this recipe for my party on Sunday, then lost it…thanks to Google, I found it here…from the source. I’m going to look for that dispenser tonight at Target-looks less messy than a punch bowl which I didn’t have either-was going to use a big salad bowl. Happy Holidays!
great!!! thanks Shannon!
Just made this for my daughter’s very pink bridal shower….so good. Loved by all!
thanks so much Elizabeth! Really glad that it worked out well!
What a brilliant and festive punch! I know all of our guests would love this!
oh good! thanks Tori!
So pretty, this punch is so going on the Thanksgiving menu!
oh good Laura!! thank you!
Amazing drink, amazing feature…YOU’RE AMAZING!!!
I love drinks where guests can help themselves too (including pouring one for the hostess perhaps? 😉 ).
LOOOOOVE THIS HEATHER!!!!!
Looks so delicious!!!
Hi, I’m concerned that mixing these all together and leaving it out at a party will cause the sparkling wine/Prosecco to go flat after awhile…I was wondering if anyone has tried this and what their experience was? Thank you!
have you ever made it with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum?
I have not! but that sounds awesome!
What if you just used the Prosecco and not the hard liquor, but used rest of ingredients, would it still be tasty?
I’m sorry, but this was a total bust for me. Followed the recipe but it ended up being sour and just ‘meh’. I tried to redeem it by throwing simple syrup and more juice in there and still, no one drank it. Christmas fail. ☹️
Hey Wendy- Sorry that happened- I am not sure what went wrong, I have not heard this before. Maybe you used unsweetened cranberry juice which can be very sour? But even then, the orange juice could have tempered it? Happy to help trouble shoot it.
