Red Summer Tablescape

IMG_4051

This was a tablescape I did for a girlfriend’s birthday party last weekend. We had a family style dinner, (all Greek food) and it was the most beautiful night.

For the tablescape, I chose the color red and just wanted to display the best of the August bounty. There was a combination of Dahlias and Zinnias in every shade of red.

For the base, I clustered red votives, glassy baby votives in coral and red and then fruit. I used dark red cherries, white and yellow nectarines, red apricots and strawberries and raspberries. Another stunning addition were the red currants which I can find so rarely and sparkled like little jewels!

I kept everything else SO simple. White linens, white Plates and clear flatware and glasses. It really kept things fresh and crisp, and all of the emphasis on the centerpiece.

I hope that this inspires your own red summer tablescape!
