Dragonfruit Lemonade Cocktail
I need a drink. That’s the kind of week I’m having. The kind I need a drink at the end of if you know what I mean.
Turns out my sister Julie and my sister-in-law Natalie are just what the Dr. ordered: mixologists. Lucky to me to have scientists in the family. Cocktail scientists.
This is the perfect mix of sour and sweet with a beautiful almost floral aroma that comes from the Dragonfruit Vodka. Did you know that there was Dragonfruit Vodka? My older/cooler/hipper sister knew all about it. I will say that it was right there in the vodka section at the liquor store (they have a lot of amazing flavors I never knew about?) so it was not any harder to find or buy than the regular old Vodka I buy (not that I buy it often!)
If you are having a party soon, or just having the kind of week where you want to relax in the setting sun with a ridiculously good cocktail- try this ☺
Dragonfruit Lemonade Cocktail, serves 1
-1 ½ oz SKY Dragonfruit Vodka
– ½ oz Triple Sec
-Splash of pomegranate juice (cranberry would also work)
-about 1 cup lemonade (we used “simply lemonade”)
-lemon slices to garnish
1) Fill a large pint glass with ice cubes.
2) In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, triple sec and pomegranate juice.
3) Shake the cocktail and pour over the ice.
4) Fill the rest of the glass with lemonade.
5) garnish with lemon slices and a straw.Enjoy!
I’ve never tried dragonfruit vodka. Thanks for introducing me. This cocktail looks so good. Love your recipes!!
Thanks Carrie! yes- there are so many flavored Vodkas I had never even heard of! I’m a little out of touch!
I had never heard of Dragonfruit vodka either. Sounds like I need to spend more time perusing the vodka section. This sounds like a fantastic cocktail!
lol! don’t we all!
Interesting, thanks a lot.
yummy, yummy, yummy!
Wow, I’ve never heard of this brand before… I bet it’s nice a tropical and fruity, just how i like my drinks 🙂
yes it is- Whenever anyone drinks this- the response is like clockwork: “this is dangeeeeerous!”
Mmmm … sounds very refreshing! Love the photo of your mixologists 🙂 (I think J is my twin you were telling me about?) …enjoy those fun cocktails!
I can totally relate on what kind of week you’re having. I think I may have to make myself a cocktail tonight :).
Thanks for the great recipe!
Honestly I have never had dragon fruit . This cocktail sounds wonderful
I like – very refreshing. Now, to find a liquor store that carries it – I have to go to an ABC package store for hard liquor. None in this county but one in other counties that are wet. Backwards? Yes.
Okay, I can’t resist – did you know or have you tried chocolate vodka? Seriously. Of course, one of my favorites.
Vicki! that is crazy. I feel embarrassed that I didn’t even realize that there were dry counties!
As for the chocolate vodka. i will get on that right away 🙂
oooh, i have all those ingredients on hand except the vodka. i think a trip to the bevmo down the block may be in order!
Yum! Such a great treat for the hot weather.
Yes, it is crazy. Always a lot of controversy about the issue because this is part of the bible belt. It was culture shock when I moved here from California. The state of Georgia does not sell alcohol on Sunday and most counties a person can’t purchase a cocktail with dinner.
My favorite drinks with chocolate vodka:
6 oz cream soda
1 1/2 oz chocolate vodka
Pour the chocolate vodka over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Add cream soda (IBC preferred), and serve.
My very favorite is chocolate vodka and cream over ice with a splash of Fever-Tree club soda.
Vicki. Do you own a flask? 🙂
You do know I am going to have to share that drink, right? First I will email it to my cocktail conossieur- my sister.
Then we will have to name it (Your drink, what do you suggest?)
Then I am going to post that thing. Looks divine!!!
Sounds tacky, but I “brown bag!”
I do have a flask. Also, a friend sent me a little insulated carrying case that holds a bottle of wine wine, cork screw, and glasses. Brown bagging is legal – go figure.
Name the drink. That would be a fun project for all those who comment.

This is another favorite. A small wine abd gourmet food shop in a neighboring county started selling chocolate wine – it is one of their best sellers as everyone seems hooked. I like it ice cold after dinner. Also, I pour it over crushed ice with soy or almond vanilla milk and sip it while I’m watching TV in bed. Yummm.
Yes, I am in therapy for my chocolate addiction!
WHAT!!??? I have never heard of such a thing! (the wine, not the addiction)
Nuttige informatie, hier kan ik erg veel mee bedankt!
