You too Katrina!!
Typical usual turkey and trimmings, but that sweet potato souffle that I keep coming across is sounding really good. My son requested the Raspberry Pretzel Jello salad which seems oddly appropriate. My HS bff is bringing her signature creme brulee turned into a pie with graham cracker crust. which is heavenly.
Creme brulee pie???? seriously? Can you get that recipe?? THat is my husbands all time favorite dessert- he would freak out of it was a pie!
Sour cream coffee cake with blackberry sauce
Turkey, Mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean bundles, creamed onions, potato rolls, chocolate chip cheesecake and pecan pie cheesecake.
Fascinating with the cheesecake!! My brother-in-law is our resident cheesecake maker (I have never made one in my life!! aaahhh!) He is trying out pumpkin in addition to regular this year- I can’t wait! I have to know- do you make or but the potato rolls. I am dying for a great potato roll recipe!
P.S. Plus and of anything I make, my roasted pepper is top of the list. I learned it at a William Sonoma cooking class and it’s changed the way I think about pepper. WS’s mixed peppercorns or Spice Hunters mix, dry pan roasted on top of the stove until the peppercorns start to become aromatic, cooled and ground. We will never go back to regular pepper and put it on everything, including popcorn.
They sell it like that? Or you had to roast it yourself?
Love your round-up! We are having our traditional meal for our family – Cajun smoked turkey, spinach madeline, carrot soufflé, sage and caramelized onion stuffing, buttermilk mashed potatoes, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and some good wine! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I love all the different recipes!! I have never even heard of half of those things! Love it! Thanks Carrie! You too!
Great round up of Thanksgiving recipes Heather!! Thanksgiving is also my favorite holiday!!
isn’t it fun to obsess so manically over food Nancy!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Heather! I love your site, you’re awesome.
My Thanksgiving meal is completely gluten free as 4 members of my immediate family members are celiac. This will be the 10th year of the same menu: (I was going to change it up one year and I was almost exiled from the family)
Shrimp cocktail
Herb & citrus roasted turkey
White cheddar & peppercorn biscuits
Wild mushroom & pancetta cornbread dressing
Yukon mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and white truffle oil
Hericot vert with roasted cherry tomatoes Pear & fennel chutney
I have not decided what to make for dessert yet, I think your dessert list will provide some inspiration for sure!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much Kara! I love your menu! It’s making my tummy rumble!
Excited to try so many of your recipes!!! Don’t be surprised if you get a frantic call at 11pm from someone in the 310… 😉
Lol!!!
that’s quite a spread, heather. happy holidays!
Amazing recipes…just added to my holiday post 🙂
So many delicious options! Hope you have a wonderful holiday:-)
You too Lauren!!
Thank you for giving me so many wonderful ideas this past year. My family will be enjoying their dinner under a sparkly silver tree centerpiece with floating candles and lots of mercury glass:)
I have been reading your blog since 2009 and my printer runs out of ink almost monthly from printing out all of your recipes 😉 My 5 and 8 year old little girls always ask when I make something if it is from you! So, of course we are making some of your recipes for Thanksgiving: spicy chickpeas, bacon and cheddar drop biscuits, pumpkin cream pie, and prosecco punch. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
That is the nicest compliment EVER!! THank you so much Jennifer. People like you are why I am working so hard at this 🙂
Your herbed rolls, my pumpkin gooey butter cake. Turkey, brussels sprouts with bacon, cranberries and pecans, sweet potato casserole with crunchy topping, carrots, mashed potatoes, apple pie, stuffing, corn bread, chocolate chip pie and wine!
Pumpkin gooey butter cake? WHAT!! Can you send me the recipe please??
I’m coming to your house Heather. 🙂 Everything sounds great. Thanks for sharing breakfast treats. I’ve been looking for some ideas….and that helped a LOT. Happy almost Turkey Day!!
xx
Heather
Thanks Heather! Happy thanksgiving to you too!
Excellent roundup! Happy Thanksgiving.
Honestly, I could live off those breakfast options alone! Outstanding!
How many people are you having over for Thanksgiving? That is quite the menu!! I have NEVER attempted a major breakfast when I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner! I’m very impressed and just a little intimidated by it! We will be having 2 turkeys, one will be grilled, browned butter mashed potatoes with marscapone cheese, stuffing with mushrooms, sausage, cranberries and pecans, roasted sweet potatoes with crunchy coconut topping, green bean casserole, corn souffle, plain peas for my picky daughter! Ooey gooey pumpkin cake, nutella pecan bites, peanut butter pie and cake batter rice krispie treats. Your center piece is exquisite! Happy thanksgiving!
your menu is crazy collette! (my youngest daughters name by the way- so I LOVE it!) 20 people this year. As far as the breakfast- it is the only way I will get to see some of my siblings and close friends so it is worth it! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
It’s past Thanksgiving, I have a fridge full of leftovers, and I still want to eat all of this.
