Fall Harvest Table

Ok guys- here is my Thanksgiving table for this year. I did it on Tuesday so I don’t have to think about it on Thanksgiving. It’s a harvest theme. I was honestly going to go for a cornucopia, but I couldn’t find one. This was kinda the next best thing.

I was totally inspired by this vintage china. I bought it a few years ago at an estate sale, and it had belonged to the prior owner’s grandmother. Some pieces of the collection date back to the 1800’s!

Right when I saw it, I thought- I will use this every Thanksgiving! Only the last two didn’t work out so well. A newborn baby two years ago, which I spent in the hospital, and a major hernia surgery last year, made me just realize I haven’t had a real Thanksgiving in quite a while. I was so excited to use it this year!

I made a giant centerpiece out of different shades of burgundy and mauve chrysanthemums. (They were 2.50 a bunch so I went to TOWN)Then I tucked some different varieties of eucalyptus around the edges. I also made a little bed of eucalyptus around the base of the giant bowl I used for the chrysanthemums.

This is where the Fall Harvest comes in.

I hit Costco for boxes of pears, grapes, and pomegranates. I sprinkled in raw nuts and adorable little crab apples and seckle pears for their major cuteness.

And because I have issues, there are chocolate covered cherries, and chocolate covered cranberries from Trader Joes. Oh, also the most amazing pumpkin caramels from a local candy store. But they all kinda look like they could just be seeds plucked from the garden, right?(stretching too far??)

Anyways. That’s the just of it. Maybe, if you haven’t done your table for Thanksgiving yet, this will give you some ideas! If you need some ideas for the kids, look here.
