Something sweet, sour and totally refreshing for these warm late spring days. It brings back memories of 7-11 slurpies in college. But way better, and without the food coloring.
I am a sucker for limeade, especially from a frozen can. Seriously.
But today I saw some fresh limeade at Trader Joes and I COULD NOT help myself. I threw it in the blender with strawberries and a bit of fresh mint.
L-O-V-E-L-Y!!! My girls and I thoroughly enjoyed them out in the sun this afternoon, but then I made them again for Pete and I added a shot of tequila. It was the right thing to do…
Strawberry Limeade Slushy
-2 handfuls ice
-1 ½ cups limeade
-1 cup strawberries
-3 leaves fresh mint
1) Combine everything in the jar of a blender and puree until smooth and slushy!
2) Serve immediately.

How lovely! I loved limeade as a kid, more than lemonade. You are so clever!
me too Vicki! thank you 🙂
i’m loving the mint in there – so fresh!
This looks so refreshing and delicious. I’m a big fan of limeade, in fact I have some in the fridge right now! A shot of tequila sounds perfect, too! P.S. my new website is finally up and running. Now what I need is a vacation. 🙂
Can’t wait to check it out Marianne!
I’m thinking the only thing missing is either rum or tequila. ;-P
Yum.
I’d eat my shoes if they had lime on them.
