Ohhhhh lordy. I know it is Thursday, but I can’t seem to get out of my “holiday weekend” slump. It has been so gray and rainy here in Seattle and my sweat pants keep calling out to me. So do the carbs. I am like a black hole for snacks and stuff. I’m not sure what the deal is, but I feel like I am spiraling into what can only end in a dramatic juice cleanse.
Also, I just missed my kids so much while I was gone and can’t seem to get enough of them. And knowing that I am leaving in another week is only exacerbating it. (I totally had to look that word up to spell it right.)
Despite my slightly fuzzy mental state, Pia and I are currently engrossed in a 1000 piece puzzle. Fact: If there was job where you could just get paid to be a competitive puzzle-put-it-together-er, than that would be my dream job. It is one of my special skills in life. Useful, huh?
Oh! I will say something again tomorrow, but I also wanted to let you Seattle area guys know that I will be at the Shoreline Costco Saturday 11-2. Please stop by and grab a book!!
Ok, anyways, lets talk beverages. Thirsty Thursday called for a breakfast Smoothie this week!! (For all you Booze hounds, Don’t worry, I have plenty of cocktails up my sleeve, and I promise one for next week.)
In the meantime, I have a scoop of Nutella, a whole banana (preferably frozen), a bit of strong coffee, agave, milk and then brace yourselves. Chocolate Covered Espresso beans.
We whip it up into a frothy and delicious breakfast smoothie that tastes amazing and properly caffeinates. Please try this for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up!
