Sangria is something that I remember from my childhood. Hang on! Not because I was drinking it (seriously!!) But because I remember my mom ordering it. Like the red wine variety with chunks of apple and orange. You know what I am talking about?

Nectarine Sangria

But the wonderful thing about Sangria is that it has so much more range than that. It’s just about combining wine and brandy and fruit together in a delicious concoction- and I can think of about 100 ways I would like to do that!

Nectarine Sangria

Including this lovely version: Nectarine Sangria. Trader Joes makes me so happy at this time of year with their crates of delicious peaches and nectarines, and I just want to make stuff with them non-stop!

And they completely inspired this fruit puree and then the rest of the drink.

Nectarine Sangria

I also love sangria because you can make it by the pitcher (or jug- no judgement) and leave it out as a no-fuss signature cocktail at any dinner party or summer gathering.

( I also garnished it with lavender sprigs. You totally don’t have to- but they are so pretty and add the slightest hint of floral that I really liked!)
