I feel like I have been a little MIA lately (I have GASP! Missed the last two Saturday Stuff’s)- but I have just been so busy moving back into our house and trying to get back to some kind of normal life. We are still just a few weeks into the new school year, but between the move and three trips in the last month- it has been absolutely bizarre. But, now, we are FINALLY feeling ok. Like boxes and bags unpacked, and everything put in it’s place. It’s actually shocking how organized this house is- by far the most so in probably all of the 7 years we have lived here. I love that feeling.
But because I am crazy, now we are going to rip out our front yard. I will be sure to show you the before and after when it’s finished. The yard had kind of gotten like the inside of the house. Just too full, too cluttered and too messy- it was time for a purge and a re-do. I will keep you updated if you are garden enthusiasts?
Another perk to being really and truly all moved in is that it has allowed me to get back in the kitchen. I have been cooking a lot in the last week and it feels so good. It has truly been about 3 ½ months since I have been spending regular, quality time cooking like I used to and I find that I have really missed it, so look for an amped up posting schedule and a ton of new, healthy, seasonally inspired recipes coming your way (read: tons of pumpkin, apple and squash recipes!)
In the mean time, here are some of my favorite drool worthy dishes from around the web this week:
Finger Sucking Roasted Beer Duck. Um, yes please.
Halloween Oreos. She is a total genius, these are also GF and vegan.
I would love to dive into this Cauliflower Chickpea Curry Pot.
These Apple Cinnamon Rolls are the kind of thing I dream about.
Easy White Bean Chicken Chili with Butternut Squash. This is the kind of thing I love to make on Sundays.
Bang Bang Shrimp with Nappa Cabbage Slaw. I am making this as soon as possible!
Coffee Ice Cream with Circus Animal Cookies. This tugged at my heart strings. I just love those little cookies.
