YAAAYYYY! I finally am getting a chance to Saturday Stuff you!

I am sitting through the warm ups for Pia’s first Fencing Tournament which feels like a really big deal this morning. It’s also sort of a landmark for her since she had her last Musical Theatre performance last night (her former passion) and will no longer continue with that since she made the competitive fencing team in December. At that point we realized that she had to give up most of her other activities to pursue this, so here we are. All fencing all the time from here on out. I’ll let you know how she does! UPDATE: Pia placed 3rd and got a bronze medal!!

I know that it’s easy to say when you never really have to go through one- but I feel a wee bit envious of the blizzard fun on the East Coast. We long to be trapped on the house with the fires blazing and the movies rolling with no way to get anywhere (read: no one can ask me to do something for them!) Instead we are in the never ending soaking wet gray sludge of Seattle. (Cheerful, no?)

Meet our new baby!(Throwback to the closest we have gotten to a “blizzard” in my life time which was 3 years ago when we had like 6-8 inches. That’s puppy Mason who grew to be 250 pounds- we brought him home the day it last really snowed in Seattle. mason and coco in snow

If I was trapped in the Blizzard, these are the top 10 recipes I would be making today (and they are all Gluten, Dairy, Soy and Egg Free):

Spicy Beef Chili (with like a whole bag of chips)
Spicy Thai Curry Noodle Soup (amazing soup in less than 30 minutes)
Honey Roasted Peanut Chocolate Cheerio Bars (OMG)
Creamy Sundried Tomato and Spicy Chicken Sausage Pasta (everyone in the house will lick their bowl clean)
Sriracha Honey Popcorn Clusters (Just WOW)
Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes (dinner anyone?)
Braised Greek Pot Roast and Spaghetti (Ultimate Comfort Food)
Spicy Lime Jalapeno Chicken Soup (this will clear your sinuses and warm you up!)
Peanut Butter Cookies (my very favorite!)
Curried Pumpkin, Chicken and Rice Soup (my number one soup right now)
For those of you who are still sticking to your resolutions (I am still dry even! I can’t believe it!) check out my Slow Cooker Ginger Garlic Chicken Lettuce Cups that are over on The Pioneer Woman’s sight!

Also, she did the nicest profile on me ever last week. Gaaahhhh!!!! I also saw this shirt online and I think I need it. Maybe it will remind me to not always opt for the extra fries? il_570xN.861989891_b5q4

Having movie night tonight (like Netflix or Apple TV) any suggestions for movies that I have got to see? I am pumped up that one of my favorite series Black Sails starts up today so that will definitely be on the to watch list- but what else!?

Ok here is a little round up from around the net for what I find to be totally drool worthy this week:

How good does this Grapefruit Salad with Shrimp and Coconut Rice look!?

This Roasted Sweet Potato and Black Bean Salad is beautiful

Creamy Thai Sweet Potato Curry has me a little drooly

I am craving a big bowl of this Vegan Seven Spice Chickpea Stew right now

These Baked Cajun Spiced French Fries have me rethinking above shirt

I am dying for a piece of this Vegan Chai Cheesecake with Earl Grey Fig Sauce

I have been dying to try something like these Cabbage Rolls.

Ok- enjoy your weekend- check you here Monday 🙂
