Happy Thirsty Thursday!!!
The mixology fun is back guys. That probably has a lot to do with the kids being back in school and how us parents are totally submerged back in the routine and the craziness. And I’ll be honest, come Thursday, a drink is in order.
So this week we are saying cheers with a lovely little creation that bridges the gap between summer and fall with ripe blackberries and juicy, super sweet concord grapes. Bless Trader Joes for being brilliant enough to start carrying Concord Grape Juice, which is so dark purple and naturally sweet that you won’t even believe the color in the glass! (If you can’t find concord grape juice- just get yourself some purple grape juice!)
Then add BOURBON!!! and a splash of fresh lemon juice, and serve it with lots of ice cubes and fresh fruit. Cheers!!
- 1 cup Concord Grape Juice
- ½ cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 chilled natural blackberry sodas (I used IZZE brand)
- ½ cup fresh blackberries
- ½ cup concord grapes
- Fill 4 glasses with ice cubes. Evenly divide the grape juice, bourbon, fresh lemon juice and chilled blackberry soda between the four glasses and garnish with the fresh blackberries and concord grapes. Serve immediately.
