Happy Cinco De Mayo!!!!! Oh wait, it’s also my favorite: Thirsty Thursday! So for you, my friends, I am sharing Orange Raspberry Margaritas!
Not only delicious, but SOOOOO pretty!
These are easy, and they are going to rock your cinco de mayo, tequila drinking world.
I love that you can just make a quick puree with raspberries and sugar and then add the booze, fresh lime juice and orange juice and voila! Drink up….
You can serve these with the raspberry puree on the bottom of the glass and a floater of orange juice on the top, or just stir it in for a vibrant fuschia drink! Have fun tonight guys!
- ice
- 1 cup raspberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice
- 6 ounces tequila
- 4 ounces grand marnier
- 2 cups orange juice
- Swipe a lime wedge around the rim of each of the four glasses and then dip them in kosher salt (or sugar) if desired.
- Fill the glasses with ice cubes.
- In a blender or food processor add the raspberries, sugar and lime juice and puree to a sauce. Split the raspberry sauce between the four glasses. Add the tequila and grand marnier (1.5 ounces of tequila and 1 ounce grand marnier in each glass) and then stir it in with the raspberry sauce. Top off the glass with a half cup of orange juice. Garnish with lime wedges. (You can either serve with the orange juice floating on top, or mix into the raspberry sauce to serve. )
