Happy Thirsty Thursday!
This week has been crazy. The book came out, I set off the fire alarm at our local news station yesterday and was responsible for the entire office building being evacuated and the firemen came. (I recounted the “this sh%t only happens to me” story on snapchat- it’s still there) Pia had a little solo at mass yesterday afternoon, I have a friends and family book launch on Friday and Coco has her big opening night for Willy Wonka on Saturday. Plus it’s hot out, so I think that means I need a drink. Or 5.
So how about I drink these AMAZING Grown Up Slushies!?
I made these for Ree over on the Pioneer Woman’s Food and Friends Page and mmm, mmmm, mmmmmmmm…… they are SO good.
I love the idea that they get that perfect icy smooth consistency from frozen fruit and then you can add whatever kind of booze you want (I like Vodka best) to make a very “grown up” slushie! Definitely not your garden variety 7-11 slushie, right?
For these I used strawberry, blackberry, mango and raspberry- but I think you could probably use any fruit that you like- hope you enjoy!

Congrats on your book launch! I guess evacuating an entire building is a feat as well, so congrats on that, too lol
Can’t wait to try these slushies, they will be great for summer barbeques!
What fab colors, these slushies are gorgeous!
These look so refreshing. I have to be honest with you, I really like the Pioneer Woman, Ree, and her recipes, but her webpage is bombarded by so many ads, trying to read this recipe took a long time to wait for and scroll down. I really appreciate your website so much more when looking for recipes, it is very easy to navigate and the speed is perfect.
I just ordered Pure Delicious (I know, a little late), but while I’m waiting for it, I pulled out your first book Generous Table and found a few recipes I didn’t tag. Thanks for the renewed inspiration.
Yessss, I need one of these!
