Hello guys! This has been a rather crazy week around here. I have something brewing that has turned me into a cartoon. By that, I mean I am just spinning around like the tazmanian devil. I feel like a cartoon crazy version of myself. I can’t wait to tell you about what I have up my sleeve- at least one of my sleeves that is, but I have to wait just a little but longer.
But that sleeve has me leaving for New York on Sunday where I am getting to escape all of the insanity for a few days, and see the beautiful leaves in central park and sneak in a little window shopping in between work. This is the very best time of year in New York. Except for Spring. And Christmas….
We also worked on my first graders art project this week. Like her class makes a piece of art for the school auction and then we sell it to the highest bidder. Well, I wound up in charge if it, and this is what I thought up. The kids (first graders!!) painted all of those feather butterflies by hand- aren’t they gorgeous!? I am very proud of their work.
Also- the kids Halloween costumes arrived this week and they are getting A LOT of air time. We have a pirate and a zombie ice queen living with us right now…. Pictures to come.
Ok, Here are some of the most drool worthy recipes from around the web this week:
Moon Pies with Maple Marshmallow Crème (Gluten Dairy free). OH WOW.
Sweet Potato Black Bean Chili Burgers with Baked Cheddar Beer Onion Rings and A Fried Egg. A delicious mouthful in every sense.
These Gluten Free Spaghetti Squash Cakes with Harissa and Eggs are amazing!!
I want to eat a million of these gingersnap pumpkin tarts!!
Take a look at these stunning Pear Hazelnut and Chocolate Muffins.
Fall Veggie Lentil Bowls with Goji-ginger-tahini cream is like a work of art.
Behold the glory that is this Hazelnut Crunch Pumpkin Cake with Brown butter Cream Cheese Frosting.
Salted White Dark Chocolate Pistachio Cookies. I could eat 2 dozen of these. At least.

What a great trip to NYC, Heather! Have tons of fun.
Hey, I was just wondering if you posted the video clip of you and Pia on the Northwest afternoon TV show? The last one you posted of you showing how to set up a cocktail party was quite charming!
Love and look forward to your blog. Send some rain to the Bay Area, OK? Thanks, Heather!
