So it’s Valentines day this weekend (as if you haven’t heard!) and if you are anything like me- it will probably be less filled with romantic shenanigans and more filled with heart shaped kiddie projects and sweet treats (not that those aren’t just as great in their own way). In fact, since I am flying home as I write this- I realize that my kids are probably the only ones who have not made their homemade valentines cards yet- so I guess that is happening tomorrow- big time. (By the way this is my favorite Valentines Day project!)
But when Sunday night rolls around- I want to be doing something nice for myself and my hubby. And these strawberry raspberry Moscow mules are just the ticket. Actually maybe I don’t wait until Thursday night and I just do this tonight. Much better idea.
I love the combination of the ripe sweet berries, fresh ginger and the bubbly ginger beer. With the subtle crisp bite of the Vodka, it’s totally refreshing and perfectly festive.
And If you wind up having friends over, isn’t this a beautiful drink to serve a big tray of? Plus everyone loves moscow mules, right?
Happy Thirsty Thursday!!
- ice
- ¼ cup strawberries sliced
- ¼ cup raspberries
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 thin slice of fresh ginger
- 4 ounces vodka
- 2 chilled ginger beers
- In the bottom of two large glasses, split the fruit and gingersprinkle each with a half teaspoon of sugar. Add the Vodka and stir well and then fill both glasses with ice. Then fill the rest of the way with the ginger beer. Stir gently to combine (the fruit will float to the top of the glass)

ah, I love a moscow mule! these look so valentiney with the addition of strawberries and raspberries, too.
Yess! The fresh ginger in this drink really makes it!
This looks so good. Great pictures too.
The berries are absolutely gorgeous!
How nice and refreshing!
Those are beautiful drinks and sound perfect, but where do you get ginger beer? Perhaps I just have not been shopping the beer cooler at the store! Will try soon.
Yes! Go take a look! Ginger Beer is everywhere!
This is gorgeous!!! I need one right now 😉
Does the ginger beer that you use contain alcohol? I have ginger beer, but it is non-alcoholic. Also, is there a brand of ginger beer that you recommend? The ones I’ve seen are packed with sugar. Thank you.
Ginger beer is non-alcoholic! and sadly they all do tend to have quite a bit of sugar in them- sorry Galicia!
Omg this looks like heaven!!! Like I literally want this all NOW!
Ha! thank you Mila!
