Today is such a fun day! (ummm…. Happy Birthday to me ☺) and because it is my birthday and because it is just a few short days away from Christmas, I am teaming up with WOLF Gourmet to gift one of you with a spectacular present!! I get to give one of you guys a WOLF Gourmet High Perfomance Blender (retail price $599.99!!!!)
I have been using this incredible blender from the brand new WOLF Gourmet line for a while now and it has taken the place of all my old favorites. It just does everything, from pureeing soups, chopping vegetables and whipping up my morning smoothies- and it does it so well! Plus it looks awesome on my kitchen counter.
To enter to win this gorgeous blender, all you have to do is leave a comment (one per person please) below, telling me what you would make with this blender. The winner will be chosen at random. Please make sure that you use your correct current email address (that you actually check every day!) with your comment so that I can reach you. You need to respond within 24 hours or I will pick a new winner. This contest will be over on Christmas Eve- Thursday December 24th, 2015 at 9am PT, and I will announce the winner here immediately and then email the winner. I am afraid this is open to US residents only. THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!!!! The winner was Noel Hendley!
Thank you for all the great recipes. My daughter is vegan and it is hard to find great tasting vegan recipes. Yours are tops. Can’t wait to make the cauliflower soup in my new WOLF blender. Thanks, Noel
Now- a little more about the soup that I made in this amazing blender! This creamy, silky, snowy white Cauliflower puree is the most beautiful bowl of healthy and tasty soup. I can never get over how pretty it is, and therefore it has made many appearances on my dinner party tables, and makes an absolutely perfect starter for Christmas or New Years Dinner.
The best part (besides it’s good looks) is how light it is. I will literally sip the hot soup directly from the bowl, and have been known to finish a whole batch myself over a day or two- eek! I love a drizzle of truffle oil on the top, but have garnished with everything from fresh herbs and edible flowers to a single sterile bird feather on the top of each bowl (now that’s a fancy presentation).
When having a cocktail party, this is lovely served in shot glasses or espresso cups as a hot appetizer. However this soup is also easy and delicious enough to pass the test with my children and I will often send a thermos of this hot soup in their lunch boxes- very versatile!
You can get the full recipe on the WOLF gourmet blog HERE.

I would definitely make winter medley vegetable soup! This looks delicious!
I would probably make my brother’s coconut milk potato leek soup first.
Gotta make myself some strawberry smoothies.
I’d make smoothies most often. Merry Christmas!

I would make many kinds of soup, which is what I live on all winter in Minnesota!
Well I love soup…the first one I would make in this blender is my roasted tomato potato soup with garlic croutons on top.
After trying your Creamy Vegan Cauliflower soup, I would make the Blended Egg Nog Cocktail found on the Wolf Gourmet Blog.
I have been patiently waiting for my blender to break down so that I can bring a high-powered one into my nest to make nut butters! But I will definitely try this soup (feather and all) with my new blender, what a great belated birthday present it would be! Happy birthday to you and happy blending!
Happy Birthday Heather!
I love your recipes and I am planning on making (in my new blender, hopefully) the Dutch Baby Pancakes from Hummingbird High for Christmas morning, followed by your Creamy Vegan Cauliflower Soup (sounds yummy) for an appetizer and then your Cranberry/Orange Margaritas for the adult cocktail. We are also having fresh Florida stone crabs for an appetizer and I know the blender cauliflower soup will pair well together.

Beet hummus. I love the color for the holidays, and beet hummus is a great appetizer. That is the first thing I would make in this new blender.
I’d love to try to use the blender to make my favorite banana nice cream!
I’d make smoothies and nut butters for breakfast, hot or cold soups for lunch and appetizer beverages before dinner. The possibilities are endless!
I would make mint chocolate avocado gelato-what a treat! Enjoy your birthday celebration!
I am new to your blog and received my first posting from you this morning. I had no idea Wolf made a blender — WOW and do I ever need one. Mine is over 13 years old and not working as efficiently as it used to. Your recipes are excellent and I look forward to working in the kitchen with your help. Happy Birthday. Chicken Tortilla Soup is my go to item for MY current blender.
Happy Birthday Heather, I hope you have a wonderful day 🙂 Oh my gosh so many ideas running threw my head. I would first make this crazy marinade that I use for skirt steaks and then use it for a butternut squash soup recipe that I have been waiting to make.
love the blender. and i would love to create an avocado soup with a drizzled with homegrown chili oil.
First of all, Happy Birthday Heather. May you have a wonderful year filled with health, wealth, and happiness. The Wolf blender looks fabulous. I’d use it to puree my asparagus soup.
I would make some great tomato basil soup, plus for dessert a great strawberry malt!
I would make blender pancakes!
I would try this soup! Or a butternut squash soup. My blender is so old that I cannot even blend spinach in it – it just makes a lot of noise. thanks!
Smoothies! And soup.
I would make green smoothies, and hopefully this blender would blend everything up and not leave big chunks of fruit or greens like my current blender.
I actually make hummus in my blender but need to peel the chickpeas in order to get the right creamy consistency…hopefully this blender is strong enough that I can take away that step!
I would make my favorite Almond coconut milk smoothie-Yum! Healthy and dairy free!
It would be amazing to have this blender!! I would make my morning bulletproof coffee and smoothie in it.
Happy Birthday Heather. Thanks for all your wonderful recipes and helpful entertaining tips.
I would love a new blender to make my morning smoothies-greek yogurt, berries, tropical fruit, almond milk and protein powder. Also, a good margarita on a warm summer evening sounds good too 🙂
I would make smoothies and homemade salsa! Thanks for the opportunity to win 🙂
The blender would be perfect for my much-needed post-holiday detox. I’d be able to take soups and smoothies to work to fend off the cookies and candies that have been piling up.
Love your recipes…the soup sounds wonderful. I’d try it for sure if I won the blender.
Lots of soup lovers here, I would definitely make a soup too… a cream of roasted cauliflower soup, I make it with cashew cream, which would have to be made in the blender too!

I would make my favorite banana “ice cream”!
Would make the best carrot soup first and then a luscious chocolate mousse.
Happy, happy Birthday. So nice of you to think if others on your day. I would start with morning smoothie’s. My husband just turned 65 and we are wanting to better our breakfasts this way but don’t have a blender to do the job. Excited to try soups as well. A nice leek or asparagus would be great. I also like to make all our sauces and a good blender sure would help.
Happy Birthday and the soup is beautiful!
I would use it daily, because if I had it, on top of making my own mayo based sauces and frozen coffee drinks, I would do way more puréed “creamy” soups!
Definitely hollandaise, then this cauliflower soup…
I would make some killer nut butters with that plunger action!
Birthday greetings ! I had no idea Wolf made a blender . As we head into winter here in Wisconsin, I have soup on my mind . Broccoli soup is a favorite -maybe I could combine it with your cauliflower recipe . What a wonderful giveaway ! Thank you Heather and Wolf.
Different kinds of pesto and creamy healthier soups without or less cream. Am excited at the prospect.
I would love to make a green smoothie that doesn’t leave clumps of kale in my drink … Yes I’m looking at you, junky blender in my cabinet! A high powered blender like this Wolf would be a dream come true!

My blender just broke and the first thing I would make with this blender is leek and potato soup because it’s cold and rainy here.
Salsa, because the reciepe has been in my family for generations, even though it’s simple it’s delicious,so much so that my husband requires that a full container be kept in our house at all times… It’s part of his daily vegetable intake
Crema de Aguacate (Creamy Avocado Soup)
With the cold weather coming, I’d make all-the-creamy-soups. Yum!

This soup looks so good. I love cauliflower soup (all soups, really) and the presentation is so pretty.
If I won this I’d definitely use it to make soup.

Hi Heather, I met you when you spoke at the Sunset Club and I have been an avid follower ever since! I live on Bainbridge Island and have started my own little vegetable garden and love cooking using just-picked ingredients and herbs year round. I also love using all the wonderful fresh items of the NW – including harvesting the bounty of our wild outdoors. One of my favorite things to do with my son is to go harvest nettles each spring (with gloves and long sleeves, of course) and make this incredible nettle soup. The recipe is from Le Gourmand so it comes with a taste of Seattle nostalgia too. This pureed goodness from nature would be just one way I would use a Wolf blender!
Roasted Root Vegetable Soup!
There are so many things you could make but with winter upon us, potato soup sounds warm and delicious!
All I want for Christmas is this amazing Wolf blender, I’m drooling.
I would make Hummus, and gobble it up all myself, as nobody in my house eats it!
Oh my goodness- What WOULDN’T I make?! lol- All your inspirational recipe posts aside, I would have to first give it a go with my recipe for Roasted Butternut Squash, Corn & Crab Soup (I make it with almond milk & spice it with serrano chilies)… My 20 year old immersion blender just doesn’t get it to that creamy state I see from those lucky enough to have a high-powered blender. On, and then the smoothies I could do with my homemade kefir… It just goes on & on!!
Thank you for all the great recipes. My daughter is vegan and it is hard to find great tasting vegan recipes. Yours are tops. Can’t wait to make the cauliflower soup in my new WOLF blender. Thanks, Noel

i believe the kitchen is a healing garden, so this blender would be used to make beautiful varieties of seasonal foods, soups, sauces and beverages!
I am a big soup person, so this would be so very handy. Also I want to start making veggie smoothies. cheryl
well, in summer i would make tons of gazpacho. but for now, me thinks… romanesco!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HEATHER! Hope this year’s trip around the sun is filled with joy, fulfillment, and delight.
And about this post…Wow, what a presentation! Polka dots on the soup- Beautiful!! And the truffle oil drizzle on top sounds positively luxurious. YUM.
ooh…the Wolf blender…OOH! My mind races with ideas for playing with such a versatile toy:
First off, I believe I’d start with a baked potato soup. (Our weather is just screaming for it!)…making it super silky smooth, them throwing in a bunch of chunky toppings for contrast and added flavor.
Next up, I’d play with a recipe I got for cinnamon hazelnut butter, and maybe experiment with other flavorful nut butter blends, too.
I’d also come back to my daily smoothies addiction, which fell away after I burned out my last blender (not a very good one, obviously!)
And…I’ve been wanting to get more deeply into the art of SAUCES….
Such a gorgeous machine could only help with all this…. 🙂
Happy holidays, Heather. Hope they are merry and bright.
What I would make is kale, mango, strawberry, chia, banana, with vanilla milk smoothie. Although, to try your drinkable soup would be splendid!
I’d make either sweet potato or pumpkin puree to start with – I’ve been making a lot of soups and quick breads with these ingredients lately!
I would love to make my curry pumpkin soup….Delis!!
I’m just dying for a chocolate milkshake and have been for days. Guess what I’d make first? Fingers crossed for a chocolate milkshake!

This is gorgeous! I love the feathers in the bowl.
As far as the blender, I would use it to make smoothies. We do a lot of juicing which I love but I haven’t found a good use for the leftover fiber and would like a gadget that will use up all the fruit and veggies. I can see this making awesome smoothies so I can get more greens into my kids!
Smoothies in the morning and soups in the evenings! The cauliflower soup looks amazing!
My son has been begging for a blender for smoothies. Me? I love the idea of making creamy soups and fresh salsas. This califlower soup looks amazing!

I would make parsnip apple soup! And then in January it would be a smoothie making machine!

Would love have a Wolf blender to make soups. As an empty nester, I find myself eating soup for both lunch and dinner!
What I would like to make most in this Wolf blender is a Salsify Vegetable Soup. The problem would be finding the salsify. I had it in a restaurant a few years ago and adored it. I have been looking for it in stores and farmer’s markets ever since. I could use the Wolf blender for so many things, especially fresh fruit smoothies using berries from my own vines and salsa from my heirloom tomatoes. A good blender rarely rests!
I love to make blended soups, especially when I can make them creamy but dairy free!
Great recipe!
I would make smoothies. Our much beloved blender has sadly cracked recently, so a new one would be very welcome.
