New Video!!!
Kicking off Thirsty Thursday with a re-vamped Autumn Sangria perfect for fall festivities!
I am in New York right now, but eagerly looking forward to getting home and doing Halloween prep. (please join us for our facebook live Halloween Extravaganza next weekend!) We are picking out pumpkins this weekend, making treats and waiting for the costumes to arrive with major anticipation! Halloween is seriously one of the most exciting nights of the year for them, but also for me ☺
I am secretly (or not so secretly) obsessed with the costumes and the decorations and all of the treats. In years past I have documented how I would like to sit down with a vat of peanut butter cups and a bottle of red wine and enjoy the evening. Now- I will replace the candy with these, and this year I am swapping in my plain old wine for this beautiful Autumn Sangria.
Filled with apple wedges, figs and crunchy pomegranate seeds, the blend of chilled prosecco, brandy and pomegranate juice is wonderful and just lightly sparkling.
So whether you serve up big glasses for yourself and your friends on Halloween or tuck away the recipe for Thansgiving (or even just a fun night with friends) this Sangria is perfect for the season- have fun!
To make this Autumn Sangria, this is what you do:
In a large pitcher filled half way with ice, add the fruit
Top with the juice, brandy and the chilled prosecco.
Stir well and serve cold.

Laura- I am totally serving this at a fall party I am having- it is just too pretty and festive!
Beautiful! I love the deep flavors and the color!
I love how much you’re into Halloween! It revs me up too. This is the perfect autumn treat.
HAha Katrina! And I feel like i have gone light on Halloween this year- but I am still in the spirit hard core!
This is gorgeous! The color is to die for! What a perfect way to celebrate Halloween.
Thanks so much Liz! It is a pretty color 🙂
Beautiful!!!
I love the colours and flavours in this sangria!
Thank you Kevin!
Love the color!
Thank you Maria!
This lookes beautiful!! can I have a glass please? 🙂
Absolutely Tina!!
I love that an entire bottle of prosecco goes into this – MY FAVORITE!! Heather, I really do have to make this drink – it’s absolutely gorgeous and has all my favorite fruits!! This would be a stunner at a holiday party for sure!
Oh thank you Julie!!
Will try this with cider perhaps this Halloween, I can’t wait to be able to try it with Prosecco! I love the idea of putting figs in a sangria—why didn’t I think of this before??? Happy Nesting.
Heck, yeah!! My kind of fruity drink.
This is just gorgeous and I love that you added figs!
Do I have to share if I make this? I will sit down with this AND my Reese’s and be one happy girl. Love that you added figs 🙂
This is probably a dumb question but is it possible to make good substitutions if you cannot drink the alcohol? What type of juices might you suggest instead?
Linda- of course!! I would simply replace the prosecco with sparkling apple cider or Trader Joes makes a sparkling white grape juice that is made from chardonnay grapes but non-alcoholic. Then just omit the brandy- or add orange juice or cranberry juice in place 🙂
I’m on the same page with you today, this kind of drink really sets the stage for the coming season, love the colors!
I want the whole thing too please.
JESUS WOW!
This is an amazing idea Heather – how have I never thought of adding figs to drinks?!
This looks amazing! I love the combination of apples and pomegranates, but adding figs sends it over the top. I love this!!
Don’t mind me I’ll just have my head in the punch bowl over here in the corner…
Sangria was always a wonderful indulgence! Alas, no alcohol for quite some time, but I still collect recipes because Sangria is a beautiful thing with all the fresh fruits and versions that exist! Love the pictures & your grown up Halloween 😉
Making this for Thursday! 😀
My son made this beverage for Thanksgiving. Lets just say, we did not make enough to drink. lol
This looks UNREAL!!
Hi- what can I use as a sub for Brandy? I have lots of cab sav and Pinot noir on hand…will those work or I have some white wine too..
Yes those will work- I think just be creative. YOu could sub bourbon or just get rid of the hard liquor completely.
This looks so good! What a great fall drink to make for friends!
